Dragon Lords,
The Relic Branch returns on October 9, 2024, and will last until the end of the Valorcrest Season!
More details below.
The Valorcrest Relic Branch
- The branch will be available from 10/09/2024 to 11/27/2024
- The branch will contain 14 nodes
- The total cost of the Valorcrest Relic Branch will depend on your choice in the last node and varies between 24,950 and 31,600 Valorcrest Sigils.
- The branch will contain Bronze, Silver, and Gold Relics, enough Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Legacy Relic Dust to level them up to max, as well as Chisels, Energy Packs, Crafting Tomes, Breeding Tokens, and Rubies.
- The branch will contain 1 Valorcrest Season Key.
What are Relics?
Relics are a stronger form of Runes. One Relic can provide you with up to 3 abilities or buffs (up from a maximum of 2 for Runes).
Relics have their own slots and you can slot in 3 Relics on any Dragon or Tower. This means that Relic power is incremental and will not replace any of your existing Runes or Glyphs.
For the most part, Relics behave similarly to Runes: they are equipped in the same UI using the same mechanics, can be viewed and salvaged in the Rune Vault, and can be leveled up to achieve maximum power in a familiar way.
A few more details:
- Relics have three levels of power: Bronze, Silver, and Gold
- The Valorcrest season will offer 2 Dragon Relics (Bronze & Gold), and 1 Tower Relic (Silver)
- Relics and the corresponding Relic Dust used to level them up will be wholly unlocked via the Valorcrest Relic Branch
- For the most part, Relics are not meant to be salvaged. A trivial amount of Relic Dust will be refunded for salvaging them
- Relic Dust is useable across seasons, though we would advise against saving it for later since it will be an extremely scarce resource
- Looking forward, if players feel like they are missing out on Relic content from season to season, we will investigate ways for players to acquire previous seasons' Relics in other ways
