TL;DR/General Summary:
Boost your base towers' HP and attack. Attack bases with clashing swords above them. Open chests in the armory whenever possible, use wood barricades to boost your base's HP, and use siege weapons to gain more points during attacks.
How do I play this event?
To play this event, you and your team must attack fortresses owned by other teams. Each fortress is guarded by a wall, which is essentially the base's health.
How do I help my team win this event?
To help your team win, you and your teammates must conquer a fortress. Then you'll need to hang on to it as long as you can.To conquer a fortress you must destroy the enemy wall. You can bring the wall's health down by defeating enemy team members. The more damage you and your teammates deal to an enemy wall (aka the more enemy team members defeated), you increase your chances of conquering that fortress. Each team that destroys a portion of a fortress' wall will have a chance to win that fortress. Destroying a greater percentage of the wall will result in a greater chance at winning the fortress (if you kill 75% of the wall, you have a 75% chance to conquer the fort, etc.). The determination of the fortress owner is solely based on total amount of wall conquered.
How do I destroy walls?
To destroy the walls of a fortress, defeat enemy players team members at that particular fortress location. The higher the level of the enemy player you defeat, the more Wall HP damage you deal.Use the boost Siege Weapon (which can be found in chests within the Armory) to boost your wall destruction by 100% for 70 minutes.
What is a Fortress?
A fortress is a base on the map that can be conquered by any team in your league. The fortress generates Victory Points over time, so hold on to the fortress that your team has conquered for as long as you can by defending it from incoming attacks and adding Barricades (which can be found in chests within the Armory) to it.
What are Victory Points?
Victory Points determine your team's ranking. The more Victory Points you and your team gather, the better the chances you have to improve your team's rank.Victory Points are earned when you and your team conquer a fortress. The fortresses you and your team have conquered generate Victory Points over time. Teams should strive to hold on to their conquered fortresses as long as possible.
What is Bounty?
The bounty is the amount of Victory Points that gets awarded to teams, which have defeat a conquered Fortress. The longer a team owns a fortress, the bigger the bounty gets for taking it down. The bounty is split between all teams that help defeat the fortress. The team that deals the most damage to the wall HP (that defeated the most high level enemy team members of the team that owns the fortress), will receive the biggest portion of the bounty.Teams that help destroy the wall but do NOT end up taking it over will earn a lump-sum of Victory Points for their team. The size of this payout will be equal to what the fort would generate in 2 hours, and is divided up amongst the participating teams in proportion to the amount of the wall they have damaged.
What happens when my team conquers/owns a fortress for a long time?
The longer a team holds a specific fortress, the more points each attack against them will be worth. The point values begin to increase after they have held the fort for 6 hours, and increases again every 6 hours the team continues to hold the fortress. The bonus caps out at 5x after the team has owned the fortress for 24 hours. We made this rule change to help keep the event fluid. If teams are able to hold individual bases forever, the event begins to be less fun for all participants. This change makes it more rewarding to tackle the more difficult fortresses after a team has held them for a lengthy period of time.
